Anthony Mercando,

Anthony Mercando, MD is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and has been a practicing cardiologist for over 30 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College. After being awarded his medical degree in 1980 from Harvard Medical School and the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, he completed his internal medicine internship and residency and a fellowship in clinical cardiology at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, New York.
Dr. Mercando is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is an attending cardiologist at White Plains Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association, and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society.
His professional interests include preventive cardiology, lipid management, pacing and implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) therapy, and medical informatics.
